One sided ODI series ends with another Australian win

Australia 7/ 279 (50 ov, A Voges 80*, D Hussey 60, Extras 30, J Anderson 3/48) beat England 222 (44 ov, M Yardy 60, M Johnson 3/18, S Tait 3/48) by 57 runs: ODI#7/7 at WACA Ground, Perth. Australia win series 6-1.

There was little to play for and, with the World Cup in the offing, no player wanted to be added to the lengthy injury list of both sides. Both teams fielded their two wicketkeepers. ( A composite team of the injured would, if all were fit, give either of the two elevens which took the field here a good match, though it would have to have a fill-in keeper).

The game had a few bangs but it, and the international summer, ended in a whimper, as England fell apart trying to chase a reasonable yet by no means impossible 7/279
.

Next stop the World Cup.
